Peesha!

It's tough to go wrong with the toppings. It's all up to you. But, if you're into bacon, you're going to love this!

Crust & Sauce

We use Costco's pizza kit for the crust and sauce. I've tried making homemade of both, with limited success.

Toppings

6 slices of bacon

1/2 green pepper

1 cup of sliced mushroom

shredded mozzarella cheese

Prep

Set pizza stone in BBQ or oven and get the heat up to 500F. Once the oven is up to temp, let the stone continue to heat for another 15 minutes.

  1. In a skillet, cook the bacon until near crispy. Let the bacon rest on paper towels to soak up some of the grease. Chop the bacon into bite-sized chunks.

  2. Using some of the rendered bacon fat, saute the peppers until soft, but not mushy.

  3. Add the mushrooms and saute for another 5 minutes or so. This is mostly to reduce moisture and infuse them with more bacony goodness.

  4. Prepare your pizza crust, covering it with sauce. Evenly spread the bacon, peppers, and mushrooms all the way to the edges.

  5. Cover in mozzarella as thick as you like it.

  6. Put the pizza on your smokin' hot pizza stone and bake for about 8 minutes.

  7. Cut into slices and eat hot - and be sure to put some aside for your pup.
