FBI Special Agent Jackson Brooks has something to prove. His K9 partner, Ruby, is already a top-tier Search and Rescue dog, but convincing the Bureau she can also track dangerous criminals? That’s a different fight altogether—especially with a supervisor who seems dead set on seeing them fail.

What should have been a standard certification test turns deadly when a storm rolls in. The wilderness becomes treacherous, and something about this exercise doesn’t add up. But when Ruby picks up a trail that was never part of the test, everything changes.

With time running out and danger closing in, Jackson and Ruby must push past their limits, relying on each other to survive. Because this isn't just about certification anymore. It's about something much bigger. And if they don't get it right, someone may not make it off the mountain alive.
